Boisterous Baboons!

Miss Chalmers always said being in Room 11 was like spending a day at the zoo ;)

A big thank you to all the parents who turned up last night to help face paint and get children into their costumes (Sonia took these photos before the matinée performance)

Farewell Miss Harland!

"Miss Harland, the Pukeko Team would like to sing a song to you called "Hello, Goodbye" by the Beatles. If you listen carefully to the lyrics it says "You say goodbye and I say hello”.
Even though you are saying goodbye to us and our school, we want you to know that we will always say hello and welcome you at Reremoana School. Thank you for being a wonderful principal. Take it away Pukeko Team!"

Calendar Art

Here's a sneak peak of Rooms 11 and 12 working on their calendar art. The completed artwork will be displayed on blogs and in classroom windows next week. We've been working really hard on it and the final pieces are going to look fantastic! Be sure to buy a copy in the form of a calendar or diary - order forms will be sent home early Term 4.

(Thanks Mrs Airs for the photos!)

Production Tickets

Have you purchased your tickets for the Reremoana School Production yet? They're selling like hot cakes, so get in quick! Here is the direct link to purchase your tickets.

Room 11 will be performing as baboons as part of the junior musical "The Giraffe That Can't Dance". The junior performance will be followed by the senior school production "The Lion King Jr". While purchasing the tickets will allow entry into both performances, families will be invited to leave the hall after the junior performance if they would prefer.

Children will be supervised in Room 11 before and after the junior performance. Could all children please be picked up at 8pm, with the exception of families staying to watch the senior school production. As outlined in yesterday's newsletter, all children are expected to be in Room 11 by 6pm to get dressed in their costumes.

During assembly on Friday Reremoana School farewelled the Year 7 and 8 AIMS team. We wish them all the best for the tournament and look forward to receiving regular updates on how they're going.

But that wasn't the only exciting thing that happened during assembly last week. The winners of the Sports Poster Competition were announced...and boy did Room 11 do well! 5 out of 20 winners were from our class! Ka pai to Tayla, Ryan St., Kael, Shivali and Eva who all won two tickets each to the Auckland vs Waikato game at Eden Park.

Kael's Trophies

"When I was little I got these trophies for being the most improved player. I was always out on the wing and got lots of tries. I love playing sports and I try to be a good sportsman. I still play rugby league now. The other day I kicked the ball really high - it was cool even though our team lost the ball because we're not supposed to kick it like that!" - by Kael
